By Aleister Crowley & Lady Frieda Harris
Painted between 1938 and 1943, the Thoth deck draws on Crowley's Thelemic philosophy and Harris's mastery of projective geometry. Each card is a Qabalistic glyph — a precise symbol placed on the Tree of Life, charged with elemental, astrological, and numerological meaning.
Unlike traditional Waite-Smith decks, the Thoth treats the court cards as Knights, Queens, Princes, and Princesses — and elevates the Minor Arcana with astrological decans and dignities rooted in Golden Dawn practice.

The Tradition

Crowley conceived the Book of Thoth as the supreme magical reference — the tarot decoded through the lens of Thelema, Qabalah, and the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. Lady Frieda Harris brought his vision to life through Projective Geometry, encoding sacred mathematics into every card's composition.
Reading the Thoth deck is not fortune-telling. It is a method of scrying the unconscious, mapping one's Will, and aligning with the currents of the Aeon of Horus.
